Still here

Some of you have probably noticed, I’ve been off the grid for a while.  My grandmother passed unexpectedly on February 21, and there probably isn’t a better way to describe it than to say it has been tough.  I’m still here, and I’ll plug back in eventually, but I just don’t know when.  I’m not putting this up to troll for condolences or sympathy, but just to let you know that I’m doing okay, and I’ll be back no sooner than I think I can be.  In the meantime, I’ll leave you with one piece of advice, and that is this:  nothing is for certain – nothing – not your preconception of how things will turn out or how long you have with anyone, or even with yourself.  You can’t afford to squander even a single day, because you have no idea – no clue – how valuable one day really is.  So live.
