Somewhere on a mountain road in the south of France, my name is on the pavement. Or it was anyway.
I deeply believe in this philosophy, which is why I submitted it to the Chalkbot, and to see it in real life, knowing the Tour rolled over it, blows my mind.
The best I’ve been able to determine, this was printed somewhere in the Pyrenées somewhere on Stage 15 of Le Tour de France; Pamiers to Bagneres-de-Luchon. Stage 15, which saw Andy Schleck drop his chain on Port de Balès, setting up a lifetime of controversy. Of all stages, and that’s where my message ended up.
How awesome is that.
