Rode one of our regular climbing routes yesterday fixie. About 36 miles, probably 2500ft of climbing with 1300ft in the bank after the first 10 miles. It’s a rugged start.
Climbing and motoring the flats was great. Descending was interesting. I would regularly see sustained cadence of 140RPM. Hang on tight and move those legs. That does wear on you a bit after a few hours straight.
I’ll definitely race fixed at Crank the Kanc, and almost certainly do the same at the Wash practice ride.
