Having received no further correspondence from either the DMV or the Governor’s office, I took a stroll over to the DMV’s website, and attempted to register the plate “RETARD”. Imagine my glee when i discovered it was mysteriously now unavailable!
And instead of being presented with the “***** not available in IPASS” message, which you usually get when someone else already has the plate you want, the message simply stated “NOT AVAILABLE“. It’s the same message you get when you try to register most bad words. So someone was listening. Which is awesome.
Unfortunately, they still have a lot work to do.
